Wakefield vs Huddersfield Live Stream

This match is one of many makeup games from the Covid-19 plaguing teams of the chance to play when it was scheduled a month or so ago, as the Giants had some players test positive.  Huddersfield were sunk by a 75th minute Gale field goal against Leeds in their latest action, back on Friday, losing 13-12, in an otherwise pleasing performance that saw them keep in it due to the boot of Russell, who kicking 4 goals.  Wakefield meanwhile played against Hull FC and toiled well for a change but lost by 3 points, thanks to a late Tanginoa try, despite it being too late, after they opted for a field goal opportunity on Halftime, which made the bizarre score of 14-13.  Huddersfield can make strides towards the top 5 here, though a win would certainly not guarantee them of anything yet, while Wakefield will just be happy with any win at this stage of what looks to be a lost 2020 campaign, not matter how befuddling the Covid-19 era has become. Lovely crisp conditions with blue skies and little wind await these players for a rare Thursday afternoon encounter.

Wakefield have made 5 changes to their team this week, with Wood, Batchelor, Tangata and Croft all returning to the squad, while Battye will make a debut, aged 29, having been a standout for the London Broncos for several years, will look to make an impact as a hard-running Forward.  Huddersfield have a clearly strong team that could threaten most others in this competition, and will look to the likes of Sezer, Gavet and Chris McQueen all fine NRL players in their day, as well as the accurate boot of Oliver Russell to take them to the heights needed to defeat Wakefield, which are admittedly, not that high.

The Trinity have won four straight against Huddersfield with fine form in the last two years when these teams have met, including a 36-10 smashing of them last time in June 2019.  The trouble being that Wakefield have now lost 5 on the trot, and not having recorded a Super League win since beating fellow cellar-dwellers Salford back in March, while Huddersfield too have not won since March when they beat St Helens by 2.  Huddersfield are $1.40 favourites for this one with a 8-point predicted margin, while the Trinity are $3, and outsiders to record what would be their 3rd win only in a terrible campaign.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield by 10.

BETTING TIP: $2.90 for Huddersfield to win by 1-12 is decent.
