Eibar vs Valencia – La Liga Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction

Match Day 12 encounter, with Eibar taking on Valencia on Monday the 7th of December, 2020, at Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa.

Eibar visited Betis last weekend, having a defeat and two draws in their last three games. They took the lead early in the second half, and soon after that they scored again(!), going on after that to protect their 0-2 lead. Their current form reads; WDDLW. They are on 13 points from 11 La Liga matches, 12th in the table before this weekend's games. They have 3W, 4D and 4L, but despite that “4L”, they have lost just one of their last five matches. Goals, just eight scored, nine conceded. They, Osasuna and Huesca have scored less goals than the other 17 La Liga teams. Truth is though, that “nine goals conceded” is very-very good. Only three teams, Atlético Madrid, Real Sociedad and Sevilla have conceded less goals than them thus far this season. Coach José Luis Mendilibar played a 4-2-3-1 formation against Betis last weekend, with Japanese Muto up front. He scored the opener, his first goal of the season, in his eighth appearances. Burgos made it 0-2 a bit later, from the penalty spot.

Valencia hosted Atlético Madrid last weekend, managed to stay at 0-0 until the 79th minute, and… ironically, it was Toni Lato, one of their players, who… broke the deadlock for Atlético, with an own-goal. Valencia lost 0-1. Their current form reads; LDWDL. They are on 12 points from 11 matches, 14th in the table before this weekend's games. They have 3W, 3D and 5L, having won just one of their last five La Liga games. Goals, 17 scored, very good, more than 1.5 per game, but 17 conceded as well, something they obviously need to work on. Coach Javi Gracia played a 4-4-2 formation against Atlético last weekend, with Manu Vallejo and Maxi Gómez up front.

Eibar beat Valencia 1-0 at home last season. Five months earlier, in the reverse fixture, it was Valencia who had won 1-0.

Eibar have three draws and as many defeats as hosts this season, are still to win. Valencia on the other hand, have one win, one draw, and three losses away from home. Two weeks ago they drew 2-2 at Alavés.

A 1-1 draw is predicted at full-time.

Date: Monday, 7th of December, 2020.

Venue: Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa

Kick-off time: 21:00 (GMT+2).
