St Kilda Saints vs Greater Western Sydney Live Stream

St Kilda and Greater Western head into this massive fixture, with the Saints more than likely assured of a berth in the Finals, with a loss seeing them limp into the craved portion of the season and win making a statement to show they are capable of greater things.  As for GWS, the most they can do to attempt to sneak into the 8 is win by a big margin here, as a simple win will not suffice, due to an insufficient points differential, when compared with the other teams likely to or assured of finishing on 36 competition points.  St Kilda were solid without winning against the Eagles last Thursday, and will be looking to find a win, after an indifferent last month of the regular season.  GWS fell to the Demons, which has all but ended their season by 5, and will need to show their best which has been hard to find after excelling in 2019.  Fine but breezy conditions await at the Gabba, with an intrigued crowd sure to be on hand, albeit small, as these teams wrap up their 2020 regular season campaigns.

Full Forward, Rowan Marshall celebrates his 50th game and will undoubtedly love to make it a game worth remembering by beating the reigning Grand Finalists and ending their season.  Experienced Midfielder, Dan Hannebery returns for the Saints, to play his 219th AFL match after moving over from Sydney where he achieved it all in 2019.  Also returning is Back Pocket, Jake Carlise for the Saints, as they have to do without Hind who was omitted and Zak Jones who is injured.  Whitfield, the Giants, Half Back also has a milestone game, his 150th and while they need other results to go their way, he knows helping his team to a big win would be a fine way to celebrate his efforts.  Kennedy and Himmelberg will not be there to participate in this one, while Riccardi and Coniglio are returning.

Back in May 2019, the Giants were flying, and Saints were still finishing their rebuild, which has now come to see them in the Finals, but not nearly good enough to match Greater Western, as they were flogged by 44 that day.  Through 10 matches in the GWS history against St Kilda they have won 5 and drawn 1, which shows they have already had some classics and a healthy rivalry.  Match predictors have this one as a cracking nail-biting affair, with the Saints handicapped at -3.5 for that betting market, while they are $1.75 chances of winning and the Giants are at $2.10.  While a win will not guarantee the Giants a place in the Finals, a loss will do the opposite, so expect desperation, as St Kilda too can still theoretically at least mathematically miss the 8, with a bad loss.

PREDICTION: Saints to end the GWS season by 10.

BETTING TIP: Pick your side and bet the 1-39 margin, the Giants are $2.30 while the Saints $2.10.
