Huesca vs Sevilla – La Liga Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction

Match Day 11 encounter, with Huesca taking on Sevilla on Saturday the 28th of November, 2020, at Estadio El Alcoraz.

Huesca visited Osasuna last weekend, took the lead just five minutes into the game thanks to a Sandro Ramírez goal, but got equalized in the 68th minute, and had to settle for a single point. Their current form reads; DDLLD. They are on seven points from 10 La Liga matches, second-to-last on the table. They have 7D and 3L, not a single win yet, making them the only team in La Liga to still be without a victory, 10 whole gameweeks into the season. Goals, just eight scored, 16 conceded. Coach Míchel played a 4-4-2 formation last weekend, with scorer Ramírez and Rafa Mir up front. As usual, Huesca had just one non-Spaniard player in their starting lineup, Greek centre-back Dimitris Siovas. Nigerian Nwakali and Japanese Okazaki came off the bench in the second half.

Things are looking great at Sevilla… A week ago they beat Celta 4-2 at home, and midweek they won in Russia as well, 1-2, visiting Krasnodar, in the Champions League. Their current form reads; WWWWL. Two of those four consecutive victories are over Krasnodar. They are on 13 points from eight matches in La Liga, 7th on the table. They have 4W, 1D and 3L, but two wins in a row now. Goals, 11 scored, eight conceded. Only Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad have conceded less goals than them this season. Truth is though, that Sevilla have played either one or two games less than most other La Liga teams up to now. Coach Julen Lopetegui played a 4-3-3 formation against Celta last weekend. Koundé opened the scoring early, Sevilla went 1-2 down(!), equalized with En-Nesyri just before halftime, and had to wait until the 85th minute(!) to take the lead again, through an Escudero goal. Munir pushed the game beyond Celta’s reach with his own goal two minutes later.

Huesca and Sevilla last met two seasons ago; back then, Sevilla won 2-1 at home, but lost(!) 2-1 in Huesca.

Huesca may be second-to-last on the table, but as previously mentioned, they have lost just three out of their 10 matches up to now… They are definitely a very tough nut to break, and Sevilla are in the middle of Champions League matches...

A 1-1 draw is predicted at full-time.

Date: Saturday, 28th of November, 2020.
