Southampton vs Manchester United – Premier League Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction.

This Sunday, the 29th of November 2020, the English Premier League returns after UEFA Champions League Matchday 4. The English Premier League Matchday 10 gets underway with Southampton vs. Manchester United scheduled for kick-off by 14:00 (GMT) at St. Mary's Stadium.

Manchester United secured qualification into the next round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night when they took Istanbul Basaksehir apart in a 4-1 victory. A brace from Bruno Fernandes (7' & 19') added to goals from Marcus Rashford (35' P) and Daniel James (90') saw the Red Devils earn three victories in a row: WLLWWW. This will be their ninth appearance of the season as they are yet to play their outstanding game. They sit in 10th place with 13 points and have a GD of -1 from 4W, 1D & 3L. Head Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær has managed to usher away talks of losing his job after the recent victories. A 4—2—3—1 formation with Anthony Martial leading the attack is expected from Ole. Cavani failed to score in the game against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday but provided some good movement up-front allowing Manchester United attack with ease. The 33-years-old has only one goal for Manchester United after playing a total of 84 minutes and will be looking to stretch that tally when he makes another off-the-bench appearance for the Red Devils against Southampton on Sunday. Eric Bailly (muscle injury) remains the only casualty in the squad.

Southampton are on a seven-match unbeaten run: WDWWWD. They picked up a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Saturday when they made their 9th Premier League appearance of the season. Theo Walcott (58') put the Saints in front but a Pedro Neto (75') goal fifteen minutes to the end of regular time cancelled the Southampton advantage. The Saints are 5th with 17 points and a GD of +4 from 5W, 2D & 2L and coach, Ralph Hasenhüttl will be looking for at least a draw when he meets this Manchester United side. We expect a 4—4—2 formation from Ralph Hasenhüttl with Theo Walcott who is gradually becoming a very important player for the Saints and Che Adams leading the attack. Danny Ings is also expected to make an appearance before this game comes to an end.

The last time both teams played was in July 2020. It ended a 2-2 draw. They also met in August 2019 and it ended as another draw, 1-1. Earlier in March 2019, Manchester United defeated Southampton, 3-2.

A 1-1 draw is predicted at full-time.
