Leeds United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers – Premier League Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction.

The English Premier League continues on Monday the 19th of October, 2020 as Leeds United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers kicks off at 20:00 (BST) at Elland road on match-day 5.

Wolves won their last match against Fulham, 1-0 the last time we saw them play. A Pedro Neto (56’) goal separated both teams at full-time to hand them their second victory of the season. It was also their second victory in six games; LWLLLW. They moved three spots from 16th to 13th after that victory and reduced their GD to -4 from -3 while having 2W, 0D & 2L. Nuno adopted a 3-5-2 formation against Fulham and that worked fine for him after Wolves picked up another three points. Reports say the 46-year-old former goal keeper and current coach of Wolves may switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation on Monday with Jimenez leading the attack while Podence, Neto and Adama Traore who returns from International duty will be playing behind him. All three will have their eyes on goal when Wolves faces Leeds United on match-day 5.

Leeds United pulled off a 1-1 draw against Manchester City last time out. Raheem Sterling (17’) put Manchester City forward but Rodrigo (56’) who came in as a sub in the 56th minute scored three minutes later to level the score-line till fulltime. That was Leads' second draw in six games; WLDWWD but despite having no big names in their ranks they have shown plenty of persistence and unwavering zeal to win. That draw moved them up by one spot from 10th to 9th on the league table and gave them  seven points in total with a GD of +1 from 2W, 1D & 1L. Marcelo Bielsa maintained his 4-1-4-1 formation against Manchester City with Patrick Bamford leading the attack. The 27-year-old attacker who has made four appearances from Leeds this season is the highest goal scorer of the club with three goals. In total, he has played 312 minutes in this Premier League season.

Both sides met last in March 2018 and Wolves won that fixture, 3-0. They also met in November, 2017 and Wolves won again, 4-1. In April 2017, Wolves defeated Leeds United once again, 1-0.

A draw, 2-2 is predicted at full-time.
