Getafe vs Osasuna – La Liga Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction

Match Day 2 gets under way with Getafe taking on Osasuna on Saturday the 19th of September, 2020, at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

La Liga may have already started, but Getafe are one of the teams that did not play last weekend. To be more exact, they did play, they beat Real Zaragoza 0-2, but that was just a friendly game. Their last official one was on August 5, a Europa League clash against Inter Milan, which they lost 2-0. Their current form reads; WWLLL. Coach Pepe Bordalás has been in charge since September 2016, four whole years. Midfielder Marc Cucurella spent last season at Getafe on loan from Barcelona. He left very good impressions, and, aged 22, he made Getafe’s people decide to spend 10m euros to sign him on a permanent deal. Getafe spent another 9m euros to sign 23-year-old attacker Enes Ünal from Villarreal (last season he was at Real Valladolid, on loan).

Osasuna visited Cádiz last weekend on their La Liga debut, and did enough to earn all three points (0-2). Adrián gave them an early lead (10’), their goalkeeper was on a good day to make some fine saves, and then, in the 79th minute, Rubén García put the game to bed (0-2). Their current form reads; WLDWW. Coach Jagoba Arrasate played a 4-4-2 formation, with Adrián and Rubén García up front. It is worth mentioning that Osasuna have four players injured, limiting Arrasate’s options of picking his first 11. At least Rubén García is available. The scorer of their second goal last weekend was dealing with a muscular pain problem for days, but 48 hours before kickoff he was cleared to play against Getafe.

No goal in two matches between Getafe and Osasuna last season. Before that, Getafe won 2-1 at home, and Osasuna did the same at theirs (2-0).

First official game for Getafe in a month and a half. They looked good in recent friendlies, but… friendlies.

A 1-1 draw is predicted at full-time.

Date: Saturday, 19th of September, 2020.

Venue: Coliseum Alfonso Pérez

Kick-off time: 18:30 (GMT+2).
