Geelong Cats vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Live Stream

Geelong have made the long flight across the Nullaboor and settled into their bubble camp in the south east like so many Victorian teams, after a tough trip to Perth, culminating in their loss to the Eagles last Saturday night.  North Melbourne, meanwhile, had something to smile about last game as they thrashed the utterly hopeless Crows, by 69 but will need to show it taught them something with a sterling effort here. Geelong’s percentage (118.3) is serving them well as they are atop the group of teams on 5-4, good enough for 6th and know winning is the only option if they want a coveted top 4, while the Roos are not in a good position with a 3-6 record.  Warm days but cool nights, are gracing the Brisbane area lately, leaving no excuses for anything but a skilful quality game and a decent crowd.

Both teams have numerous changes, Geelong have lost Constable to injury while Parfitt, Ratugolea, Rohan and Kolodjashnij are all rested, following a break of just 3 days before gameday, including the 6-hour flight.  Steven returns and will play Forward Pocket, while veteran superstar Joel Selwood also returns and starts in the Midfield, while Stanley is installed as the Ruckman for this match.  Tom Atkins too starts at Half Forward and Zach Guthrie, joins his brother Cameron to make up half of the interchange bench.  North Melbourne are resting 3 players following their win, despite no travel as they played on the Gold Coast, with Hayden, Davies-Uniacke and Larkey all out, joining them is Taylor who picked up an injury.  Ben Brown gets a reprieve and will start at Half Forward, while Polec is named on the bench to play his 129th game of AFL, and Will Waker joins him on the sidelines to start the match.  Hosie a rookie will debut in the Forward Pocket, a Glenelg junior who was drafted in 2019, looks to have a decent future ahead of him, despite being 23-years old.

Back in May 2019, Geelong beat the Kangaroos in an impressive all-round game, winning by 24, while in August it was an embarrassing hiding for Norths, as they managed just 1 goal and got flogged by 55.  Geelong have recorded 100 wins and a draw against Norths in the 164 matches over the years, with all likelihood of making that 101, which is quite dominant.  As expected, Geelong are $1.38 favourites for this match, while North Melbourne are $3.10, with a predicted margin of almost 3 goals.  Geelong will be looking to cement themselves in the top 4 competition, and losing this game is not an option if they want to achieve that goal.

PREDICTION: Geelong will win by 20ish.

BETTING TIP: Ardent Geelong fans will be tempted by the $4.50 40+ margin market.
