Everton vs Leeds United – Premier League Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction.

The English Premier League returns after the European Champions League which saw a few Premier League teams take part in the action. On Saturday, the 28th of November 2020, Everton vs. Leeds United kicks off at 17:30 (GMT+1) on Matchday 10 at Goodison Park.

Everton picked up a 3-2 victory over Fulham last weekend when they made their 9th appearance of the season. A brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin (1' & 25') and another goal from Doucoure (39') saw the Toffees pick up their second victory in six games: WDLLLW. They are 6th on the table with 16 points and have a GD of +3 after 5W, 1D & 3L. Coach Carlo Ancelotti was happy to see his side get back to winning ways after three straight defeats to: Southampton (2-0), Newcastle United (2-1) and Manchester United (3-1). The astute Italian manager will be looking to pick up back-to-back victories on Saturday when he fields his 3—4—3 formation. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be in the center of the attack once again while being flanked on the right by James Rodriguez and on the left by Richarlison. Twenty-three years old, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is having a fantastic season with the Toffees – scoring 10 goals in only 9 appearances for the club this season. Everton have a relatively healthy squad with the exception of Jean-Philippe Gbamin who suffers from an Achilles tendon tear.

Leeds United were only able to manage a goal less draw when they invited Arsenal to Elland Road last weekend. It was a peculiar game which saw Nicholas Pepe sent off for head butting Leeds' Ezgjan Alioski in the second half. Their current form reads: DLWLLD and despite starting the season on a bright note, Leeds' have seen their fortunes dwindle rapidly over the last few weeks. They are 14th with a GD of -3 and 11 points after 3W, 2D & 4L. Marcelo Bielsa is tipped to adopt a 4—1—4—1 formation against Everton with Patrick Bamford leading the attack. The 27-year-old attacker who has made nine appearances for Leeds United this season has scored seven goals and remains Leeds' top scorer. He will be looking for his eight on his tenth appearance for the club on Saturday.  A couple of players are sidelined with injuries but Marcelo Bielsa will still be able to select a competitive XI to face this attack minded Everton side.

The last time both teams played was in August 2015. It ended in a 2-0 victory for Leeds. They also met in September 2012 and Leeds United won again, 2-1. In April 2004 both teams played a 1-1 draw.
