West Ham vs Aston Villa – Premier League Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Match Prediction

Match Day 10 encounter, with West Ham taking on Aston Villa on Monday the 30th of November, 2020, at London Stadium.

West Ham had beaten Fulham 1-0 at home just before the international break, before visiting Sheffield United last weekend. Their second clean sheet in a row, got couple up with their second 1-0 win in a row, as Haller scored in the 56th minute, a goal that proved enough to earn the Hammers all three points. Their current form reads; WWLDD. They are on 14 points from nine matches in the Premier League, 8th in the table before this weekend’s games. They have 4W, 2D and 3L, with half of their victories having come in their last two games. Goals, 15 scored, 10 conceded. Coach David Moyes played some sort of a 3-4-3 formation last weekend, with Haller up front. The Ivorian striker scored his second goal of the season. He had a total of seven from 32 Premier League appearances last season, his first as a West Ham player after his move from Eintracht Frankfurt. The hosts are expected to start with Fabianski, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Coufal, Rice, Soucek, Masuaku, Bowen, Haller and Fornals.

Aston Villa have started to… make little sense. After impressing at the start of the season, they lost back-to-back matches to Leeds (0-4) and Southampton(3-4), both at home. Right after that, they triumphed in London against Arsenal (0-3). Just when you expected them to… go back to building a winning streak, they “managed” to lose 1-2 to Brighton last weekend, at home. Their current form reads; LWLLW. They are on 15 points from eight matches, 7th in the table before this weekend’s games. They have 5W and 3L, not a single draw yet. As previously mentioned, those three defeats came in their last four matches. Goals, 19 scored, 11 conceded. Coach Dean Smith played a 4-2-3-1 formation last weekend, with Watkins up front. Konsa is the one who scored Villa’s goal against Brighton, his second already this season. The 23-year-old defender had two from 67 Championship and Premier League appearances the previous two seasons combined, and no goal for Charlton before that, at the start of his professional career. Villa are expected to start with Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, McGinn, Luiz, Hourihane, Trezeguet, Watkins and Grealish.

Neither of the two games between West Ham and Aston Villa had a winner last season; they drew 0-0 in Birmingham and 1-1 in London.

Very interesting game, tough one to make any prediction...

A 2-2 draw is predicted at full-time.
